Message from From Your Pastor
|
Beloved of God, we gather to celebrate the 14th Sunday of Ordinary Time. In Matthew 11:25-30 we learn Jesus invites the humble to find rest in Him. Like a tired traveler who drops a heavy pack at the foot of a cool stream, Jesus says, come to Me, and I will give you rest. The burdens we carry—worry, pride, the push to prove ourselves—are like stones in our packs. Jesus offers a gentle yoke: not a load that crushes, but a harness that helps us walk together. In that companionship, strength becomes peace. Lay your stones down; learn from Him; find rest for your soul.

This Weekend we coincidentally celebrate American Independence. As a Church we affirm that the Continent's future is safest when guided by Divine love—a love that calls for unity, humility and service for the common good of all people. To that end we let us pray for our Continent.

Eucharistic Adoration
|
The Chaplet is prayed at 3p.m., the Rosary is prayed at 3:30 p.m. followed by Benediction.

Blue Army
|
On the first Saturday of every month, the Blue Army group follows the 8:15a.m. Mass with a rosary, meditation on the mysteries and confession until approximately 10:00a.m. Everyone is invited to stay after Mass to take part.

Food Pantry Collection
|
We are once again requesting food items for the OPEN PANTRY. As always, we appreciate your giving spirit. The items hoped for are: Canned meats and canned vegetables, oatmeal or hot cereal, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese and spaghetti sauce. Please, no perishables!! Thank you very much!

Junior Legion of Mary
The Junior Legion of Mary is coming to Holy Name in October! The only requirements are being under 18 and wanting to grow with God.
