I treasure this Scriptural quotation, “The greatest among you must be your servant." As I perceive it, a grateful life is worthy of the grace it speaks and spells. Jesus came to live and be lived. He came to serve and to have that service extended into our lives and through our lives into the lives of our sisters and brothers. We are now, reduced by His Word to the dignity of being His Word, still serving, still being as real as ever He was. Our challenge is to live the word of God in such a way that others are drawn to God because of our exemplary lives of words and actions.

Update on Parish Council
We have our list in place! The following parishioners were either nominated or have volunteered to service on the Council, which going forward will be called the Pastoral Council. We are asking that everyone email their photo this week (preferably a close-up) to Ann at annfholyname@gmail.com. They will be used to make up the voting ballots, so we want your face to be clearly seen. Many folks know others by face and not necessarily by name, so we will have names with the pictures on the ballot. There are 15 names, and we will be voting for 10.

The Junior Legion of Mary is coming to Holy Name in October! The only requirements are being under 18 and wanting to grow with God.

Junior Lectors Ministry Seeking New Members
Calling all Stupendous Sixth Graders, Sensational Seniors and everyone in between! Please consider being a Junior Lector. As a new JL you will be trained and paired with a seasoned JL until you are comfortable on your own. You will be amazed at how much you love this very important ministry! So, why not give it a try?!
