Message from Fr. John Chrysostom Tibakunirwa, Parish Administrator
We are celebrating the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of the Universe. Doing this, we come to the successful completion of this Liturgical Year now due to start a New Liturgical Year next Sunday the First Sunday of Advent.

Christ Our Shepherd King gave us a new Law of love and showed us how to live it in right relationship with God, self and the Universe. May our Shepherd King of the Universe, the Christ surround us, and enfold us in love as we live into the coming creation. The Lord is truly our Shepherd. He cares for us.

Prophet Ezekiel in the First reading gives us the words pertinent to that reality ---"look after", "tend", "rescue", "pasture", " give them rest", "seek out", "bring back", "bind up the injured", " heal the sick".

So the Kingship of Christ that we celebrate today is a Kingship of care. Care for all but particularly for the least ones: the hungry, the thirsty, the naked, the ill, the ones in prison. To do this is to capture the message of Christ the King who has embraced our fallen humanity as to be in the least of His sisters and brothers as well as the sleek and strong.
