Message from Fr. John Chrysostom Tibakunirwa, Parish Administrator
As human beings and Christians we all know people characterized by true humility. They are those rare ones that make us feel good about ourselves and make us happy that we know them. They make a difference in our lives and our world. They do this quietly and humbly. That is what Saint Paul is challenging the Philippians, to look to Christ and Be like Him especially in His humility. The great thing about growing in humility is that we do not even have to look for opportunities. Jesus wants us so desperately to gain humility that He sends us all sorts of occasions to say thank you, go to confession, not interrupt, do the menial tasks and rejoice when someone is recognized and validated.

Eucharistic Rosary Congress

Join the effort to save our state, our country, and our world by participating in adoration for the Eucharistic Rosary Congress of the Diocese of Springfield at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, Oct. 7, the Feast of the Rosary, to Oct. 13, the 106th anniversary of the Miracle of Fatima. You are invited to attend and assist us at this year’s Springfield Diocesan Eucharistic Rosary Congress, which will be held once again in the Oratory Chapel at the northern end of the campus of the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, at the top of Pine Street, in Stockbridge, MA. The Congress is a WEEK of in-person around-the-clock adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament with the Rosary prayed aloud at the top of each hour. The Rosary Congress begins with the 9:00 AM Mass in the Shrine Church, after which there will be a Eucharistic Procession to the Oratory Chapel, where the Congress will be held for the next seven days (Note: The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed each weekday for an hour for the 11:00 AM Mass.). The Congress will close on Oct. 13 with a Eucharistic Procession from the Oratory Chapel to the Shrine, led by Bishop Byrne at 12:30 PM, with a holy hour and confessions from 1 PM until the 2 PM Mass, celebrated by Bishop William Byrne of the Diocese of Springfield. To register, take a postcard or hover your phone over the QR code on the poster. Additional information is available on the website, or call Jean at 413-298-3691.
