It was announced last weekend that Fr. Jonathan Reardon will become the pastor of Holy Name Parish in Springfield effective June 1. In addition to this new assignment, Fr. Reardon will also become the chaplain for Pope Francis Preparatory High School while continuing his duties as director of recruiting for the Vocations Office.
We also wish to inform you that, per the request of Cardinal Seán Patrick O’Malley, Father Stanislaus Achu will be assigned a faculty member and Scripture professor at St. John’s Seminary while pursuing an S.T.L. degree in Sacred Scripture. Fr. Achu is appointed a parochial vicar at St. Thomas the Apostle in West Springfield for months of June and July and after that time he will continue at the parish as a provisional priest for weekend help.
